Before you toss anything out, think, “Can I repurpose this into something else?” You may be surprised at what you can create with leftovers. This pasta recipe is an excellent example of repurposing leftovers that may seem like nothing.
Leftover sauce from Mussels Provençal.
Linguine or spaghetti
Seafood, such as leftover mussels, shrimp, and/or clams.
To prepare this seafood pasta dish, start by boiling water for the pasta. Once the water is ready, cook the pasta until it reaches al dente. While the pasta is cooking, prepare the seafood and sauce.
Heat the leftover sauce from Mussels Provençal over medium heat.
Add the shrimp and cover the pot. Steam the shrimp until they are pink and cooked. Using a slotted spoon, scoop out the shrimp and set them aside.
Next, if using clams, add them to the pot and repeat the process to steam them until they are starting to open. If there are any leftover mussels, warm them while the clams finish cooking (or shrimp if not using clams).
Add the shrimp back in and stir well. The seafood sauce is now ready to toss and serve with the pasta.
